September Currently

Hello Friends!  I am linking up with Farley for this month's Currently:

Does anyone out there watch Outlander???

I have been reading and re-reading the book series since 1995 (not kidding), so to say I am a fan would be an understatement.  I have been waiting for decades for them to bring it to the screen, so when I saw that Starz had signed a deal with author Diana Gabaldon, I immediately ordered a subscription.  Now I watch it on a daily basis (thank you, On Demand creator!) and just got my husband hooked, too. :)

Just in case you haven't seen it yet, here is one reason to watch:

...need I say more?

MY 3 TRIPS
1. I have wanted to visit Scotland for years, but after watching the beautiful scenery in Outlander, I definitely have it on my Bucket List.  We lived in Europe for years and I was lucky enough to visit London for our 20th anniversary, but we never made it to Scotland.  Time to start saving my pennies!

2. I have a not-so-funny story about Mount Rushmore- we went there once on a cross-country journey, but we could only stay for a few hours.  As we approached, we noticed the area was covered in a dense fog.  Sure enough, we pulled to the observation point and I even walked out on the deck, but all we could see was a wall of fog.  I was so disappointed!  I knew that the mountain was RIGHT. THERE.  And I couldn't see a darn thing.  Boo.  :(  So Mount Rushmore is back on the Bucket List.

3. David and I have gone to Washington D.C. several times, but not lately, and our kids have never visited.  I feel it is important for Americans to see our capital city, but we just haven't made it happen yet for our family of 7.  I am thinking we need some more pennies.... :)

  1. I am a TV show addict as well! What is Outlander about? I definitely need to try it out! I would also love to visit Scotland. I think Scotland and Ireland are very beautiful!
I hope you have a fantastic Labor Day!

  2. What a great idea about visiting DC. I was going to add that to my list of 3 but didn't. I love the idea of taking the family. We also have a big family. Our first one is off to college next year. That might be a bucket list before her departure. She would love it since she's a big history buff and so is my hubby.
    Thanks,
